I refer to him as Master Riaz, while some people know him as Shamas. He is a person of self-respect who tends to keep his needs private and only seeks help when he genuinely requires it.
During my time working at RHC Mandi Sadiq Gunj from 2014 to 2016, he used to handle my laundry, and his wife took care of my wife Nadia Ambreen’s laundry.
His laundry business is considered to be average or below average in terms of performance. Each year during Ramadan, he usually reaches out to me for support with Sahur and Iftar provisions, with typical expenses totalling around 20,000. He has multiple daughters, and I’ve also received one or two requests for assistance during his daughters’ weddings.
